Farmers Branch Bringing Homes & Apartments with $1 Billion Development

A $1 billion mixed-use development in Farmers Branch is bringing hundreds of homes and apartments. The 370-acre Mercer Crossing development is on the north side of LBJ Freeway near Luna Road.

Planned for more than 3,000 residents, the project will also include commercial and retail space. Developer Centurion American Development Group bought the property in 2015 and has been working on the project.

“The first 30 houses are going to be starting in 30 days,” said Mehrdad Moayedi, CEO of Centurion Development. “We are doing everything in one phase – 660 home lots.

“In the next six months all the lots will be done,” he said. “There are some bigger home lots around the lake and there are some townhome lots.”

Homebuilders in the project include Oakdale Homes, First Texas Homes, Megatel Homes, Beazer Homes and Siena Homes. Houses in the development will start at price of more than $300,000.

Moayedi said all the single-family home lots are already sold.
